Gary Millar. "We are a world class city because of the culture, because of the arts, because
of the creativity. It has always been here, it's been here for eight hundred years or more. And because people now recognise
it, more businesses are moving to Liverpool, more people are visiting Liverpool, fifteen million came here last year, three and a
half million of those for the very first time. They are now saying 'wow it's more than football, it's more than
music, what a fantastic waterfront, what fantastic heritage and what amazing people."
Gary Millar, born in one of the most deprived areas of Scotland, made Liverpool his home almost 30 years ago.
He´s a computer whizz-kid, marketing guru and successful property owner, co-owning Parr Street Studios in Liverpool, launch pad
for many careers in music. Elected a city councillor in 2008 Gary was instantly rewarded with a Cabinet job looking after enterprise
and tourism.
